Tickmill’s Meaningful Contribution to Local Communities
As part of our continued efforts to support local communities and charitable organizations sharing the vision of making the world a better place, we are pleased to have positively contributed to the lives of people and communities in need. Here are some examples of our charitable work just before the end of 2020.
Donation to the Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends (PASYKAF)
Tickmill donated a significant amount to the Cyprus Association of Cancer Patients and Friends in support of its specialized services and programs that aim to meet the ever-growing needs of cancer patients and their families. The Association offers cancer patients all-inclusive support from the diagnosis phase to the recovery stage, including but not limited to home palliative and medical care, social and psychological support, and patient transfer service.
Supporting Underprivileged Students at a Primary School in Larnaca, Cyprus
Meanwhile, we are pleased to have contributed our part to the mission of the Parents Association of the Zenon Primary School in Larnaca, Cyprus to improve the well-being of disadvantaged students and their families. Recognizing the need for financial assistance in order for the School to provide the best education conditions possible to its students, Tickmill stepped in to support the Parents Association’s fundraising campaign by making a substantial charitable donation.
Spreading Hope and Happiness to Children with Disabilities in the Philippines
For the second year in a row, Tickmill has proudly sponsored the annual Christmas gift-giving campaign which involves the distribution of relief goods to special children in the Philippines. This effort is backed up by a team of dedicated volunteers including our country manager, Nona Sampang who volunteer their time and energy to ensure the children have all the tools and resources they need as well as access to quality education and inclusive participation in civic life.
Contributing to the COVID-19 Relief Fund
With the COVID-19 pandemic still troubling the world, Tickmill shared its solidarity with the population and government of Seychelles by donating a substantial amount to the country’s COVID-19 Relief Fund, the proceeds of which will be used in support of the local vaccination program to ensure that the population is protected to the maximum extent possible.
Moving ahead to 2021, we can only promise that we will continue to enrich our portfolio of Corporate Responsibility initiatives in a bid to empower local communities and strengthen social welfare in meaningful ways.
